About Our Graduate Development Programme: Our flagship programme is designed to develop graduates who one day we want to see leading operations at one of our many UK or overseas manufacturing sites. This programme is open to graduates, will last two years, during which time you will be assigned up to four projects, based in at least two different UK locations with the prospect of long term employment, growth and an outstanding career ahead of you. About You: We are looking for graduates who have what it takes to grow into a senior leadership role with one of the world's fastest growing manufacturing companies. Typically, you will have a good quality (2:1 or better) **engineering degree at BSc or ideally, M.Eng level , evidence of extracurricular success in leading/engaging people and have experienced at least 6 months employment (likely to be a placement) in manufacturing within industry - you'll be a fast learner. **Engineering, Aerospace, Metallurgy, Manufacturing or other relevant/related subject matter You will have presence, outstanding communications (verbal and written), leadership potential, ability to influence, work within and direct a team. You will have outside interests and an entrepreneurial mindset. About The Benefits: One of the best packages around! Kevin Patrick, an 18 year old International Business Management student at the University of Surrey is also the Managing Director of Team Tops, a company which he formed four years ago via the Young Enterprise scheme. Kevin's business is now successful and he's even working on new ventures.

OCTOBER 2011: Lorna Dane, founder and MD of JumpStart was delighted again to be asked to assist with the interviews at Farnborough Hill in October. Lorna said "It's always great fun talking to the girls about their personal statements and university applications. The students were outstanding this year, as ever. This is such a great idea for any 6th form and I only wish more would do something similar."

AUGUST 2011: JumpStart launches a Facebook page!
JULY 2011: JumpStart delivered workshops at Collingwood College in July 2011. Lorna Dane presented 4 highly interactive workshops entitled 'Interview Skills' and this has raised significant interest from a number of students looking for help and advice with university applications, CVs and practice interviews. The workshops included student participation, some 'acting' from a couple of drama enthusiasts and lots of handouts, hints and tips for those who attended.
JULY 2010: JumpStart in conjunction with the Farnborough Aerospace Consortium exhibited at the Farnborough Air Show. Particular interest was shown in the JumpStart programme on the Friday of the show, entitled 'Futures Day' and this was open to schools, colleges and universities. Great fun for all concerned!
HOW IT ALL BEGAN: The founder of JumpStart, Lorna Dane, started by giving support and advice to teenagers and graduates - mainly as a 'favour' to friends. It became apparent that there was a great deal of sense in putting together a more structured training programme to help guide and inspire students who were being faced with writing a personal statement or a CV, and with the prospect of university or job interviews looming, they were really grateful for the opporutnity to practice with someone other than tutors, friends or family members. From this small beginning, JumpStart emerged into what it is today!
